CAML Query Builder – handy for SP Designer “Developers” like me :)

Karine Bosch has released an updated version of her CAML builder web part page. This feature (when deployed) allows you to build a CAML query to return data from a specific list or library. New Features include:

  • Filtering results on a property (eg Someone’s name)
  • Returning Dates and reformatting them, subtracting 5 days, stuff like that
  • Queries are stored in a list now, and there’s a preview section in the Query builder page

Download the latest package here – it is part of the U2U SharePoint Solutions package.

About Brad Saide

I'm a SharePoint consultant. I'm also slowly going bald, seem to have a permanent spare tyre around my waist and enjoy socialising with friends over a beer or 10. The last 2 may possibly be related. Started working with SharePoint when the first version was in limited beta release (participated in the Technology Adoption Program while at Woolworths) and have been committed to the adoption of the technology as a business enabler ever since.

I have recently created CAML Query designer based on my own requirements and I am giving that as an utility for free. Hope this will help SharePoint developers in better way.
