Charities do it Cheaper!

CustomWare does a lot of NFP and charity work as well as their commercial work. I was at the SharePoint user group in November ant one of the Microsoft employees there mentioned that there is a site these type of organisations can go to called – here they can buy software from companies such as Microsoft, Cisco, Flickr etc for a fraction of the cost of going retail. for example:
Office 2007 Professional normally sells at $500US – you can pick up Office 2007 Professional Plus for $30AU. That’s a fair slab of savings!
Or how about…
SharePoint Server 2007 Enterprise Server? $377. Sweet!

About Brad Saide

I'm a SharePoint consultant. I'm also slowly going bald, seem to have a permanent spare tyre around my waist and enjoy socialising with friends over a beer or 10. The last 2 may possibly be related. Started working with SharePoint when the first version was in limited beta release (participated in the Technology Adoption Program while at Woolworths) and have been committed to the adoption of the technology as a business enabler ever since.

Mate, I thought you knew about this. The only thing I would say about donortec is that there\’s a limit on how many licenses you can purchase each year. I am going through the same thing with my client (NFP).
