There’s a new product out from the Microsoft developer tools team called LightSwitch – It allows you to point to multiple data sources and build relationships between those data sources which can then be represented in an automatically created UI. Upside: No code Business Apps are at your fingertips! Build a business app, bringing together data sources from different systems and presenting them in a single interface.
Downside: The app still needs to be written within Visual Studio, so it’s not really suitable for a business user. It should probably be in a product like SharePoint Designer (maybe as a 2011 Tool Update?), the tool of choice for the target audience that would find this useful.
